NEET 2019 Revised Notification
NEET 2019 Revised Notification has been released now. This exam will be conducted through pen paper based mode. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is organized by the NTA (National testing Agency) once in a year by NTA. It is the only national level medical entrance exam for providing admission in MBBS, BDS courses offered by all Indian Medical colleges. New Changes Introduced Last Year
On the proposal of Union Health Ministry, MCI approved several changes in the NEET UG entrance exam. Listed Below the new changes introduced last year:
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined 15% All India Quota scheme. Candidates of these states need not to submit Self Declaration form now.
- Aadhaar Card is also not compulsory to fill the NEET Application. But, candidates have to required any ID proof to apply for the exam.
- Indian candidates those wish to pursue MBBS/BDS in foreign nationals, they have qualify NEET UG exam.
- The attempt limit has been removed from the last year. Now, candidates may attempt the NEET untill the age limit as per their categories.
- There will be one set for question paper in all languages.
- As per officials the exam will be bilingual (except language chosen in English).
- NTA will set up 3,000 practice centres for NEET UG examination from August 2018. It will function on saturdays and sundays & candidates will get around an hour to practice.
NEET Eligibility Criteria & Registration
The eligibility criteria for NEET 2019 is mentioned below :
Nationality
- Candidate should be an Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for NEET UG.
- Candidates belong to J&K state will be eligible to apply for 15% All India Quota on the basis of self declaration.
Age Limit
- The minimum age limit is 17 years as on December 31, of the year of admission or candidates belonging to all the categories.
- The maximum age limit is 25 years as on December 31, of the year of admission for students belonging to general category.
- The maximum age limit is 30 years as on December 31, of the year of admission for students belonging to reserved category.
Class 12 Marks/Qualification
- Students must have passed class 12 board exam or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with at least five mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and an elective subject.
- PercentageCriteria: Minimum 50% marks for general, 45% marks for PH and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates in the PCB group.
Year of Passing
- Students who are appearing for board exams in the year 2019 are eligible to take NEET 2019.
- Students who have appeared for class 12 exams in 2018 and appearing for an improvement exam in 2019 are eligible to apply for NEET 2019.
- Candidates who have appeared for class 12 exams in 2017 and have taken improvement exam in 2018, can mention the year of the exam with a better score.
Adhaar Card Mandate:
- Aadhar number is not mandatory to apply for NEET exam.
- J&K, Assam & Meghalaya candidates can also apply by providing their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Government ID number.
- NRI candidates can apply by Adhaar Card number or Passport Number.
- PIO, OCI & Foreign nationals candidates can apply by Passport Number.
NEET Registration Process
How to Apply for NEET 2019?
Medical aspirants can apply for CBSE NEET 2019 only through online process.
- NEET UG registration 2019 will be commenced from the 1st November 2018
- The foremost work you need to do is, visit the official website of NEET UG 2019.
- Here is the official website URL cbseneet.nic.in
- Before "Proceeding for Applying Online Form for NEET 2019 (UG)", check out the guidelines carefully.
- You will be able to see the application form on the screen.
- Now fill up the required details asked in the form i.e. academic, basic personal, exam center, guardian, contact.
- Verify before submitting and then press the "Submit" button.
- After ending this process of filling form, you will be provided with the generated "registration number ".
- Now the next step is go for the asked "Upload Photo/Signature" section.
- The required KB and size information is all shared above. Press the "Browse" button for uploading photograph and signature.
- Choose the payment mode.
- Submit payment details and for payment of fees.
- Take printout of the confirmation after the completion of this whole process
- After successful completion takes the print out for confirmation.
- The confirmation page will be displayed, and it has to be sent to below-mentioned address along with the required documents,

NEET Exam Pattern
Below we are providing the details about NEET 2019 exam pattern :
- The NEET 2019 consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
- The duration of NEET/AIPMT will be 03 hours
- Mode of Exam is Pen and Paper.
- The question paper will be asked in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Kananda languages.
- Marking scheme is 4 Marks for each correct answer and 1 negative mark for each incorrect answer and no marks for unmarked questions.
